'Family,' '30 Rock' lead TV in Comedy Honours
"Modern Family" and "30 Rock" leads the television charge while "Bridesmaids" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" would be the top nominees within the film groups for Comedy Central's second annual Comedy Honours. Comedian Louis C.K. was probably the most nommed individual, taking bids for TV actor, TV special and standup tour. Kudos is going to be recorded April 28 in Gotham and broadcast around the cabler May 6. To find the best TV laffer, nominees besides "Modern Family" and "30 Rock" are "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Parks and Entertainment" and "Happy Being." Additionally to "Bridesmaids" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love," bigscreen nominees are "Night time in Paris," "Horrible Bosses" and Oscar champion "The Artist." Nominees are selected by a varied board of company directors with 30-plus people including sitcom director James Burrows, standup entertainers and stars Ray Romano and Chris Rock, in addition to Laugh Factory nightclub owner Jamie Masada. Last year's two-hour inaugural telecast came 1.4 million audiences. Contact Stuart Levine at stuart.levine@variety.com
