"My excuse is that I'm young"?

Think all of you know that this is a quote said by Drake (forgot the
name of song it came from) that he says in one of his verses (if it
isn't Drake, please correct me).

But, I am starting to hear this quote more and more these days from
people my age or younger (I am 21). People will say that "my excuse is
that I'm young" when they make mistakes and such. And I a constantly
hearing it over and over again from people saying this phrase when
they make mistakes in life. To me, saying that quote as an excuse is
getting old itself. How about no excuses and just accept the fact you
were being dumb and not thinking at the moment, not because you were
young. I don't see older folks saying "my excuse is that I'm old",
some own to what they do and know they did wrong (said some because I
know some adults will make excuses to cover their tracks in the
mistakes they make). But, do you think this quote is acceptable for
young people to use because they are young and don't know any better?
Or do you think it is just another excuse for them to hide behind?
@Pedro: Thank you, I knew it was a short title name.
